In April, we’ll put on our best waterproof sneakers and hop, hop, hop like little bunnies all over Montreal, because the city is waking up and it’s the start of the season when we’ll absolutely be living outdoors.
There will be days off for Easter Monday, the first flowers, April showers… and as usual, our calendar is packed to the brim.
Wednesday, April 1: Pink Full Moon

At 10:12 p.m., April’s full moon—the Pink Moon—will be high in the Montreal sky. It heralds spring, renewal, and fine weather.
April 3–6: Easter long weekend

From Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026, it’s the first long weekend of spring. That means it’s finally—finally!—time to swap out your fur-lined boots for rain boots, take off your mittens, and dig out that not-so-practical but very charming wicker basket for a picnic.

The Art Plural contemporary art fair, created for and by galleries—and for lovers of contemporary art as well—will take place on the Grand Quai in Montreal’s Old Port from April 10 to 12.
Saturday, April 11: Spring Vintage Bazaar

Decor, accessories, clothing, music—because after the big spring cleaning, we’ll have room for colorful vintage pieces to wear when the sun comes back.

Once a year, Ben & Jerry’s holds Free Cone Day, simply for the joy of showing our love for them and treating ourselves—and we know what people will say, that it’s just marketing and so on, but we gladly accept our free ice cream.
Deep down, there’s really nothing better than ice cream, and when it’s free, it’s even better!

Friday, April 17: Mile End Kicks hits Montreal theaters

Mile End Kicks brings the Mile End of 2011 to the screen with a summery, nostalgic soundtrack.
Mile End Kicks, directed by Chandler Levack, follows Grace Pine in Montreal in 2011 and pays tribute to the Mile End music scene. The film will be released in Quebec theaters on April 17, 2026.
