In Montreal, we’re spoiled for street food, because we love it so much that every weekend – or almost every weekend – a “street food” festival takes over one of the grassy esplanades on the banks of the Lachine Canal or the stony shores of the Old Port.
We’ve had a Korean street food festival, poutine, pizza, Les Premiers Vendredis and, later this month, a taco festival and the much-anticipated RAMEN RAMEN. It’s a wonder we get anywhere without driving. We do a lot of pilates.
Next weekend, it’s one of the best street food festivals of the year-and it’s a festival that will satisfy everyone’s cravings….
STREETFOOD Festival Montreal
The festival lasts 4 days, and takes place on Quai de l’Horloge, at the end of Montreal’s Old Port – from August 14 to 17, 2025.
There will be 40 vendors -40 of the city’s best chefs and restaurants and a variety of incredible international street food classics. There’ll be Korean corn dogs , Manila bbq pork kebabs, Colombian arepas con queso , Argentine grilled meat…
There will also be the most photogenic and fashionable kebabs and dishes of recent years: doritacos, bubble waffles and lychee lemonade.
All this, in the spirit of street food as a cheap bite to eat between meetings or while sightseeing, won’t be unbelievably expensive. Dishes will cost between $3 and $16.
And what’s more…
There will also be DJ performances with rhythms from all over the world: Latin, African, Asian and Nordic.
You can sample one (or two) of the cocktails created especially for the festival, or drink wine by tasting in the VIP area of the Riedel Wine Glass Experience.
