Every year, our Holiday Calendar is black with ink. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t make note of a craft market, a cocktail party with friends where we plan to dress exclusively in silver, a slide session with the nephews and nieces at Parc Lafontaine…
But after making our snow angels, after the eggnog and coma that comes after holiday meals, we sometimes forget to plan a New Year’s Eve. To celebrate the end of 2025 and welcome in 2026 in style, we recommend a great Montreal classic…
Le Grand Minuit de Montréal
Every year, the river is used as a stage for Montreal’s midnight fireworks.
In addition to the fireworks, countdown and light show over the St. Lawrence, there will be music, performances and DJs. There’ll be champagne, dancing, counting down from 10 and kissing on the lips at midnight.
There will be year-end medley performances by David Watson, Klô Pelgag, Anachnid, Qualité Motel, Sarahmée… To see the full program and find out more about the Grand Minuit de Montréal 2026 – click here!
It’s a classic for good reason, and the best way to ring in the New Year in one of Montreal’s most beautiful venues.
