In Montreal in March, there’s a lot to celebrate – Women’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring Break, the start of the sugaring-off season, and above all, surviving the darkest and coldest months of winter.
We’ve put together a list of things we can’t wait to see, taste and listen to this March!
1) Molenne Brasserie
Molenne opens on February 21 in Mile End, and takes its name from the Old French word for the neighborhood, Mile-End. Led by Montreal chefs from top restaurants, Molenne’s cuisine pays homage to the melting pot of the neighborhood and Montreal. Seafood, meats, fine wines… as the bottle-green brasserie sign says, there’s “a table for every occasion”.
Molenne: 5309 Boulevard Saint-Laurent
2 Disappearing Worlds
starting February 19
Go back 3.5 billion years in VR, and wander among Jurassic plants, Cretaceous dinosaurs and early man. To get out of Montreal without really getting out, and to introduce children to prehistory…
It’s at the Montréal Science Centre, and tickets are available here.

Cinéma du Parc’s midnight screenings return with a tribute to David Lynch, American cinema’s most iconic director. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Wild at Heart, Mulholland Drive… It’s a unique opportunity to see his films on the big screen, and discuss them with other Lynch fans – perhaps over a milkshake?

The son of this other great director has teamed up with the Phi Center to create a visual, emotional and musical exhibition around his life and work, three years after his sudden death. Visit alone, studiously, or in a group, to experience a mixtape of tributes and memories of Jean-Marc Vallée. It’s free, but reservations are required!

See the wave emoji for real, dream of vacations, and get up close to one of the most rarely exhibited works in the history of art!

At the Galerie de l’UQAM, Tino Seghal’s This Situation is a philosophical and immaterial work to which you can bring your date, your father or your children, with completely different results and a completely different appreciation of the work… An exploration of what a contemporary work is, which we’ll let you discover!
