1. annual St. Patrick’s Day parade
March 16 marks the 200th St. Patrick’s Day Parade: the second-largest parade in North America (after New York City). We’ve got all the details here!
Don’t forget to book your place in advance, so you can see it all! There’ll be a queen, beer, dancing, lots of Irish pride and bagpipes…
When? Sunday, March 16, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m.
Where? The parade will start at noon at the corner of Fort and De Maisonneuve, and end at Jeanne-Mance and De Maisonneuve.
2 Montreal Irish Pubs
We visit one of Montreal’s classic Irish pubs to get in the mood before (or after) March 17, because one day isn’t enough to celebrate the Irish holiday in style. Beer, Irish coffee, dancing, a bit of history, music, and of course we’re going to kiss every Irish person we meet – with their consent.
We visit one of the Ye Olde Orchard pubs offering lunch, karaoke, open mics and performances between March 14 and 17.
There’s also a special menu including poutine with Guinness sauce, fish n’ chips and steak and mushroom pie…
