The best way to dress is like a Montrealer. And the secret to the style of the coolest people we know in town is a semi-secret list of thrift stores and vintage shops.
And, of course, we also decorate our apartments with secondhand treasures. There’s nothing worse than a Diesel officer’s jacket from the 2000s sitting next to a hideous plastic lamp with a cold-light bulb.
To furnish and decorate our apartments with vintage items—eco-friendly and a thousand times more stylish—here are our favorite spots in Montreal…
Les Petits Frères Boutique

In England, Les Petits Frères stores would be called “charity shops” because they’re secondhand stores where all proceeds go to Les Petits Frères—an organization that supports seniors at the end of their lives by combating isolation in old age.
The shop really has everything and is full of lovely little treasures at very low prices. You have to take your time.
Maison Seconde—on Etsy and at the Vintage Bazaar

For the chicest accessories from the ’70s revival—which is very trendy right now (imitated, never equaled)—we recommend checking out Maison Seconde’s Etsy shop.
This is for those who love to entertain, fans of 1970s design, and stainless steel enthusiasts.
Maison Seconde is also an exhibitor at the Bazar Vintage, which pops up once a month at Saint-Jean Berchmans Church in Rosemont. The April 2026 Bazar Vintage is on Saturday the 11th.
Notre-Dame du Vintage

For collectors, those with a massive, virtually empty apartment, and those looking for something very, very specific, this is the first place to visit.
These are the biggest vintage markets in Montreal. With 1,000 square feet at Notre Dame du Vintage, we’re bound to find something we love, right?
Le Vintage du Coin

For furniture curated with impeccable taste by lovers of Danish design, soft mood lighting, and a chic living room straight out of a 90s art collector’s film, we love Le Vintage du Coin.
They also carry tableware, home decor, and a few clothing items. Check out their Facebook page to browse the catalog here!
