The quintessential end-of-summer experience in Quebec is the barbecue. Local meat on the grill, fresh-off-the-cob corn, family and friends, and the last of the sun’s warm rays.
This weekend, September 4–7, 2026, the month of September kicks off with a Grand Grill and continues every weekend with gourmet events.
THE GOURMET EVENTS
Every weekend in September 2026, the EVENTS are different and hosted by some really, really cool Montreal chefs.
- Weekend of September 4–7: The Grand Grill, presented by Jean-Drapeau Park
- Weekend of September 11–13: 88, presented by Asiasie—Asian street food, carnival games, and lanterns at sunset
- Weekend of September 18–20: Montreal Oktoberfest, presented by Conviv
- Weekend of September 25–27: Montreal Oktoberfest, presented by Conviv
September kicks off with a Grand Grill. As you might expect, all the cooking will be done over an open fire. It’s a big back-to-school barbecue, featuring the unique styles of Montreal chefs who have prepared dishes especially for the occasion—including Jonathan Legris, Martin Juneau, Gilles Tolen, Martin Pechuan, Paul Harry Toussaint, Jermaine Wallace, and Michel Childe.
You can buy dishes individually or get a “gourmet passport” for $85 to sample 7 dishes cooked on the grill.
