Ah, the medieval era! Knights, long corseted gowns, sexy blacksmiths, and jousting! For the past few years, a medieval revival has been circulating in the zeitgeist with Game of Thrones, Wuthering Heights, lots of braided silver chainmail jewelry, and a return to nature, fairies, and bareback riding.
For 25 years, Montreal has had its own medieval fair in Laval, and this year, the Salon de la Passion Médiévale runs from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2026.
Salon de la Passion Médiévale
The fair’s program will feature medieval music and dance, combat and battle scenes featuring Vikings, musketeers, and Roman gladiators, as well as fire-eaters.

And, of course, it’s a costume fair with a medieval atmosphere and plenty of artists and artisans.
