Montreal is a different city in the summer. After a winter of mandatory hibernation, Montrealers live outdoors, in the sun, during the warmer months. But after long dinners in restaurants with fogged-up windows in the winter, that doesn’t mean the city forgets its status as a global culinary hub.
The festival lasts four days and takes place on the Quai de l’Horloge, at the end of Montreal’s Old Port—from July 16 to 19, 2026.
There will be 50 food stalls—50 of the city’s best chefs and restaurants—and a variety ofinternational street foodclassics from 25 countries. There will beKorean corn dogs, Manila-style BBQ pork skewers,Colombian arepas con queso, Argentine grilled meat…
Most dishes are $10 or less, so it’s a bit like a potluck with tiny chef-created dishes—a modern take on those elementary school buffets where everyone had to bring a dish from their home country.
Bites from Around the World—and one of the best spots to watch Montreal’s fireworks
This year, the festival’s opening night coincides with the Loto-Québec International Fireworks Festival —a fireworks display that lights up the Montreal sky every summer. And, to see them, it’s not always easy to find a spot.
But on the Quai de l’Horloge, there’s sure to be a lively atmosphere for the opening fireworks display, which is one of the most spectacular.
