We’re sweating because of the stifling humidity of Montreal’s fall afternoons; our heads are spinning from the horrifying amount of sugar in every sip of pumpkin latte; and we’re yawning because the sun is setting earlier and earlier.
It’s the season of horror, the season when we talk to our ancestors, when our hearts beat faster. So, naturally, we’re going to a haunted house to scare ourselves.
ESCAPARIUM, the company behind the terrifying “NIGHTS OF TERROR” events held in Montreal in recent years, is setting up its course in the Marineau Farm corn maze for Halloween 2026.

NIGHTS OF TERROR, HAUNTED MAZE, AND BLOOD PULSING IN YOUR TEMPLES
Getting scared is good for your health. Even if our scares in the city tend to be a guy with a phone on a tripod asking for our opinion under the ring at Place Ville-Marie or running into an ex in a deserted alley on the Plateau, fear does us good. Since time immemorial, it has sharpened our reflexes and instincts.
And, technically, what scares humans the most is being chased. In a corn maze, it’s even better. In a corn maze at night, terror reaches its peak. The outdoor haunted house at Ferme Marineau is called THE LAST HARVEST…
There’ll be clowns, masks, a cardio workout, and lots of corn. The real question is who we’re bringing along. A friend who’s a little slow on the uptake—to be fed to the clowns? A crush to snuggle up with in the maze? Surprise, surprise…
