It’s crazy how dichotomous Montreal (and Montrealers) are, because in winter we spend as little time as possible on the city’s grid-like streets—because of the wind, snow, and ice, plus it’s cold and dark—and yet, in summer, every minute spent indoors feels like a sacrifice. Please, let us live outside!
In any case, even if we have to work (unfortunately, we don’t get summersoff likewe did when we were in school—except maybe teachers, and kudos to them)—we still want to spend every possible second outside, in the sun, in the breeze, on the grass.Briefcases shouldbe full of exotic fruits and sunscreen. In a perfect world…
We’ll be able to take free yoga classes (outdoors) during our lunch break every Wednesday this summer.
Not too long, not too demanding—a spray of hypochlorous acid and a (reusable) water bottle—and we’re back to work, but with a dose of sunshine that’ll keep us going until evening when we can—finally!—go back outside.
Idolem, Aire Commune, sunshine, and yoga
This year, Aire Commune is partnering with Idolem Yoga Studio, known for its hot yoga classes and its many locations throughout Montreal and on the North and South Shores.
Hotyoga classes are the thing—they’re held in a heated room and are sometimes followed by a cold shower or a cup of tea. It’s good for your abs, and there are several levels of intensity (solar or lunar, and on a scale of 1 to 5) for beginners and accomplished yogis alike.
For the free classes offered on Wednesdays at Aire Commune, the sun will turn a classic yoga class (open to all levels) into a hot yoga class.

Common Area
Aire Commune is a bit like hanging out at a beach club, but right in the city. And the events run from 5 to 10 (5 PM to 10 PM) for an after-work gathering or a night out, as if we were on vacation.
Every Aire Commune evening features DJs, a water fountain to fill your (reusable) bottle, and a sandwich (it’s allowed on the premises).
