It’s crazy how dichotomous Montreal (and Montrealers) are, because in winter we spend as little time as possible on the city’s grid-like streets—because of the wind, snow, and ice, and on top of that, it’s cold and dark—and yet, in summer, every minute spent indoors feels like a sacrifice.
This summer, on Thursdays and Fridays between 5 and 10 p.m., you can go dancing on the Esplanade Louvain at the Aire Commune parties.
Aire Commune
In any case, even if we have to work (unfortunately, we don’t get summerbreaks likewe did when we were in school, except maybe teachers—kudos to them), we still want to spend every possible second outside, in the sun, in the breeze, on the grass.Briefcases shouldbe full of exotic fruits and sunscreen. In a perfect world…
Aire Commune is a bit like hanging out at a beach club, but right in the city. And the events run from 5 to 10 (5:00 PM to 10:00 PM) for an after-work gathering or a night out, as if we were on vacation.
All Aire Commune events feature DJs, a water fountain to fill your (reusable) bottle, and a sandwich (which is allowed on the premises).
