Every summer, Montrealers take the river shuttle or the metro to go dancing on Île Sainte-Hélène on summer evenings. It’s always electronic music, there are buckets of cocktails that look like those in sandboxes, and the sun is just beginning to set when the music starts. It’s one of the best parties in Montreal, and it’s Piknic Électronik.
In 2026, the parties resume on Sunday, May 17.
Piknic Électronik
Whether it rains (like at last year’s first Piknic) or the wind blows, Montreal will start dancing at Parc Jean-Drapeau starting this Sunday.
Piknic Électronik takes place every Sunday all summer long. Don’t forget your sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and dress as if you were heading to the beach in a ’90s California movie.
In addition to the Piknic lineup, there will also be OFF events—DJ sets and side parties—and special family afternoons to dance with the kids.

For the opening party of this year’s Piknic Électronik, the lineup is:
- 4 p.m. (National Bank Stage) / AMPER [NAB B2B PRÏA B2B ZAC MARTEL]
- 4 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / SYANA
- 6 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / Jordan Gardner
- 8 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / MCRDJ [MCR-T B2B MRD B2B TDJ]
And since Monday, May 18, 2026, is a holiday (it’s Victoria Day), there will be a second party, not too late, on Monday.
- 4 p.m. (National Bank Stage) / GENE TELLEM B2B KRIS GUILTY
- 4 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / Napo Lugo
- 6 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / Brunello
- 7:30 p.m. (Fizz Stage) / Josh Baker
