Quebec’s railroad tradition—and its tracks winding through the mountains—is just as haunted as the rest of the region. And for Halloween, the Exporail Railroad Museum is organizing ghost train tours for kids and adults alike.
The museum is very close to downtown Montreal—just a half-hour drive or an hour by EXO train. There, you can see vintage locomotives, learn more about the railway history of Quebec and Montreal, and the little ones can take a ride on a very pretty and very nostalgic train.

THE EXPORAIL MUSEUM GHOST TRAIN
The railway museum, which features a working train that offers rides (though it’s mainly for kids), gets a Halloween makeover.
The train turns into a ghost train with two rides—one for children under 10 and one for those 10 and older. For the little ones, there will be candy and mini pumpkins, and for the older kids, there will be a ghost story.

There will also be crafts, challenges, and puzzles along a “pumpkin trail” on Saturdays and Sundays in October.
We’re also promised ghosts in the museum, mysterious characters, hairy spiders, and screeching bats.
