On December 25, 2025, the latest film by the Korean director beloved of film students and anyone with good taste will be released in Montreal cinemas. The film is No Other Choice (2025) and the director, of course, is Park Chan-Wook.
To celebrate the release of this film and to revisit the director’s exceptional oeuvre, the Cinéma du Musée is organizing a Park Chan-Wook retrospective from December 19, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
6 films to revisit Park Chan-Wook’s cult oeuvre
The Cinéma du Musée will be screening six of the Korean director’s films from December 19, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
First, the director’s revenge trilogy : Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Old Boy and Lady Vengeance . These are the films that have made Park Chan-Wook an international icon of Korean cinema.
The director’s blend of incredibly cool visual storytelling and violence mixed with dark humor is unique and exhilarating. We recommend that you don’t pass up this opportunity to (re)see his films on the big screen.
You’ll also be able to discover one of Park Chan-Wook’s earliest films, Joint Security Area, and re-watch the sexy and emotional Handmaiden (not with his parents).
