Starting next week, the mercury will rise above zero and the snow will melt and flow from the top of Mount Royal to the St. Lawrence River, flooding our ankles and turning Montreal’s streets into streams. Birds that live in organized flocks in the bushes will produce thousands of chicks to spend the summer with their families.
It’s time to get out our rain boots and fall in love again if we spent the winter hibernating in our apartments. For couples who spent the winter under the covers, it’s also time to thaw out the romance and get outside.
March is a transitional month, not quite spring but with the arrival of spring in the air. To thaw our hearts—and those of our crushes—before the return of sunny days, we have plans for a first (or hundredth) date in Montreal.
