Starting next week, temperatures will rise above freezing and the snow will melt and flow from the top of Mount Royal down to the St. Lawrence River, flooding our ankles and turning the streets of Montreal into streams. The birds that live in organized flocks in the bushes will hatch thousands of chicks to spend the summer with their families.
It’s time to dig out our rain boots and fall in love all over again if we spent the winter hibernating in our apartment. For couples who spent the winter under the covers, it’s also time to thaw out the romance and head outside.
March, which is quite transitional and not quite spring yet, but where you can feel the arrival of spring in the air. To thaw our hearts—and those of our crushes—before the return of sunny days, we’ve got plans for a first (or hundredth) date in Montreal.

To go window shopping—but better. Best done at the end of the day to watch the storefronts light up.
An exhibition in the storefront windows of Montreal’s Village featuring works by an intergenerational group of queer Montreal artists: projections, sculptures, photography, and performances visible from the street.

For photographer crushes, artists, and because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
