The weather’s nice (like), a little sunny, some trees are sprouting leaves, it’s still raining fresh in April. In Montreal, spring is a confusing time, when we ruin little kitten heels in the cracks of sidewalk concrete and act less like a human being than a sunflower.
The truth is, it really is spring when the tulips come out of the ground. And my God, we’ve been waiting a long time for this…
This year, the most Instagrammable event of the season, the U-Pick tulips, opens in early May – in time for Mother’s Day.

Practical info
Where to find us
U-Pick Tulips: 1055 rue Principale, Laval
The U-Pick Tulip Field is in Laval, about an hour’s drive from downtown Montreal, depending on traffic.
You can also get there by public transit! You can take the orange line(be careful! put tickets for zone B on the Opus card before you go) and then a bus, and it’s about an hour’s drive too.
And when?
Tulips have their own personality, and the official opening date has yet to be announced on the U-Pick website…
BUT we invite you to visit the website to check, because in this cloak-and-dagger atmosphere, you can still plan your visit by getting tickets and forming a strategy to have the most beautiful bouquet/photo of the spring.
The U-Pick website is here!
