To mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Scorsese’s cult classic “Taxi Driver” (1976), Cinéma du Parc is hosting eight screenings of this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen.
TAXI DRIVER
“Taxi Driver” (1976) is the favorite movie of every film buff we know, and it’s also a cult classic among film school students, finance guys, and screenwriters who love to write out every scene on Post-its and arrange and rearrange them on the walls.
Today, the undercurrent of violence, incel culture (male loneliness, some would say), and male bloodlust is as compelling as ever—and still very much relevant, of course. The horrors of war and their devastating effects seep into our daily lives, just as they always have. The trick is not to lose your mind.

Beyond all the themes it explores, Martin Scorsese’s film is a marvel of screenwriting, acting, and cinematography —and in many ways a perfect film, one to be admired. Robert De Niro’s performance as Travis Bickle, a man “in a purgatory of loneliness,” is remarkable and truly gripping.
Seeing this film on the big screen, whether for the first time or the twentieth, is an opportunity we highly recommend you don’t miss…
