Don’t count on this restaurant for your last-minute plans, but the tapas bar is a must Tinc Set next door (from the same owner) is just as delicious, with a slightly more relaxed but equally romantic atmosphere.

Yes, it’s a cocktail bar, not a restaurant, but Big in Japan it’s also one of Montreal’s most romantic establishments, period. With its large curtains and subdued candlelight, it’s a real hidden bar absolutely worth a visit. You can spot it on St-Laurent with its unmarked grey door.
