A village built entirely of pumpkins 40 minutes from Montreal – and there’s also a corn maze to stroll through.

Before Halloween, Montreal embraces its dark corners, ghost stories and windy streets…

On autumn weekends, you can spend some time at a special 90s after-school in the vein ofHalloweentown and Charlie Brown, The Great Pumpkin… It’s somewhere between a fairytale that turns the pumpkin patch into a magical world for children and an influencer’s paradise for the pumpkin-picking post.

You can stroll through houses built of pumpkins, pray at the Great Pumpkin Altar at the pumpkin church, take some home…

It’s less than an hour’s drive from Montreal, in Saint-Zotique, and well worth a sunny autumn afternoon before Halloween.

Citrouilleville

The village of Citrouilleville was born 7 years ago when Ferme Benoit Vernier found itself with several imperfect squashes. He decided to sell the squash for $1.

The sale quickly attracted a larger clientele, and so the idea of selling pumpkins arose. From there, the idea of using the imperfect pumpkins to build houses followed… and as they say, the rest is history.

A world of pumpkins

In addition to the pumpkin village with its general store and saloon, visitors can enjoy the corn maze, entertainment and shows, and stop by the many photobooths on site.

You can take photos on a 1957 Dodge truck, an antique horse-drawn carriage, a tractor, a Westfalia, and many other original outdoor settings.

For the little ones, there’s also a giant pumpkin inflatable, face painting and pumpkin decorating. And don’t miss the puppet shows taking place throughout September and October!
