When we were kids, we used to make birds out of toilet paper rolls covered in colorful feathers at the library. And it was a wonderful afternoon.
Today, that’s the atmosphere you’ll find—like a Proustian madeleine—at Palette Pastel, a café-workshop where you can take part in creative workshops with the kids—or simply feel like a big kid yourself.
On the shelves, there are watercolors (regular and metallic), resin in every color, vases to paint, mosaic tiles, wooden boxes, and colorful paper napkins. You can also draw or paint, practice freely, and enjoy a coffee with a brownie baked by the founder of Palette Pastel, Mélissa.
It’s perfect for an afternoon of crafts with the kids, a creative happy hour to bring your friends, or a date where you can ask your crush to show you how to glue your mosaic tiles.
Crafts and workshops for kids of all ages
Just like at the library or summer camp, all the supplies are available on colorful shelves, inviting you to make collages, paint, and cover as many surfaces as possible with glitter.
In addition to Mélissa’s help, there are also instructions that explain the different crafts step by step.
- Ages 5 and up: Salt dough & painting (perfect for budding little artists!)
- Ages 6 and up: Napkin collage (with an adult to help)
- Ages 8 and up: Painting on canvas & painting on glass
- Ages 9 and up: Mosaic (with a little attention to detail, it’s even better!)
- Ages 12 and up: Resin creations (requires a bit more skill)
