Just For Laughs, the world’s biggest comedy festival, is synonymous with one of the best times of summer in Montreal. We love a good laugh here, and for over 40 years, we’ve known exactly where to go to do it…
This year, the Just For Laughs Festival will be held in Montreal from July 16 to 27 , and for ten days will feature plays, stand-up, music, musical comedy…
The festival has just announced a large part of its program – with, as every year, surprises and mystery shows announced along with it, to keep us on the edge of our seats.
There will be shows in both French and English.
There will, of course, be the iconic Just For Laughs Gala on July 25, with a host or hostess yet to be announced…
This year’s line-up of comedians includes Cat Cohen, Russell Howard, Mae Martin (& friends), Xavier Mortimer, Elena Nagapetyan, Caroline Vigneaux, Kumail Nanjiani, Waly Dia, Ilyes Djadel, Tom Baldetti, Thomas Angelvy, Rachid Badouri, David Voisin… and many more!
There will also be shows for the new faces of comedy, shows from the decades of Juste Pour Rire (90, 2000, 2010, 2020), improv, a comedy show in the dark and a Comédie Club Tour.
On July 16 and 19, there will also be mystery shows (in French) for comedy fans who want to be surprised, and for those who like to predict the future (and who, strangely enough, always end up being right).
We’re also looking forward to seeing the Boys show, an adaptation of the first film -an instant classic from Quebec- which will go on tour in summer 2025, adapted by Guillaume Corbeil and directed by Marc St-Martin.
