March 24 marked the 20th anniversary of the iconic TV series of our childhood—Hannah Montana—and to celebrate, Disney organized a TV special that was watched with all the nostalgia for the 2000s possible.
Wigs (and wig changes), bedazzled microphones covered in glitter, body spray that smells like vanilla cupcakes— Hannah Montana’s birthday is like a Proustian madeleine for millennials.
And to delight those who grew up with the Disney Channel’s colorful and absurd shows, the Glimmering Dolls collective is hosting a “Disney Channel Dance Party” at the bar l’Idéal.

Hannah Montana will be honored with a costume contest —short cargo pants, colorful cotton boleros, three spaghetti-strap tank tops layered on top of each other, blunt-cut blonde bangs, sequins (the biggest possible). Winners will be rewarded with surprise prizes.
And for the sheer joy of nostalgia, the playlist will be 100% Disney Channel, featuring;
