The films will be screened at dusk, and while waiting for nightfall, Montrealers can adjust their inner tubes and colorful foam floats in the pool. And, of course, maneuver their bag of popcorn so it doesn’t get wet.
For six special nights, the pool at Parc Jean-Drapeau’s water park turns into an open-air cinema. It will take place every Tuesday between July 7 and August 25, 2026.
A cinema full of water (and sweat)
It takes place in the pool at the Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex, and the floats that serve as movie theater seats are provided.
The movies shown at the pool will be somewhat in keeping with the theme of having wet hands and feet after a summer day spent playing sports outdoors. It’s not 5D cinema, but the atmosphere fits the theme perfectly.
