The sun is setting later and later (after 5 p.m. since February 1) and Fred the groundhog has seen his shadow, but it’s still winter in Montreal. So, obviously, we’re going to spend the whole night outside.
This is the 23rd edition of the event, and Nuit Blanche offers free exhibitions, concerts, films, and performances throughout Montreal.
The complete program is here! But since we only have one night to see everything, we’ve selected a few major films, exhibitions, and performances to see on the night of Saturday, February 28, 2026.
At the MAC…
It’s the closing event (the opposite of the opening, because it’s the last day of the exhibition) of the MOMENTA Contemporary Art Biennale at the MAC during Nuit Blanche.

At the Museum Cinema, a short program of films by Kent Monkman will be screened during Nuit Blanche. The shorts follow his exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada –History is written by the victors.
Kent Monkman is Indigenous, a member of the Ocekwi Sipiy, Fisher River Cree Nation in Treaty 5 territory in Manitoba.Through his works and hisalter ego, Miss Chief Eagle Testickle, he reinterprets colonial history from an Indigenous perspective with humor and poetry. We see Miss Chief Eagle Testickle in high heels (often Louboutins) asMiss America, as an archangelic presence in a prison for Indigenous women, as a painter in front of a classic landscape, bringing children back to their families after they were forcibly taken to residential schools.
