It’s the twelfth edition of the Montreal/New Music Festival (February 14 to March 2, 2025), and this Friday, February 21 is the À l’écoute du geste concert at 7:30pm!

It’s an evening showcasing the innovative work of 13 up-and-coming Montreal musicians from Ensemble Éclat, whose theme is digital art and musical gesture.
The evening will feature Philippe Leroux ‘s bare hands drawing musical notes,Alcina Tarrés ‘ interludes inspired by kinetic sculptures that link works with five movements, and a brand-new digital musical instrument: the Karlax – created by Benjamin Lavastre.

Ensemble Éclat is not only a group of talented musicians, but also a fervent supporter of Montreal’s up-and-coming musical talent. Supported by the Pôle Relève du Vivier, which accompanies emerging artists in new music, the ensemble is committed to the incubation, dissemination and circulation of artistic projects and works throughout Quebec.
