On April 22, we celebrate Earth Day all over the world, and in Montreal, environmentalism is a top priority. Since the 2000s, the city has been a model of ecological transition, and increasingly, Montreal is turning toward the ultra-local— small-scale farmers’ markets, microbreweries, a greener city, and a love of conservation to share with the little ones.
April 22 (and the ten days or so surrounding it) is the perfect time to embrace this eco-friendly spirit and turn it into a unifying movement… and to wear our best clogs!
Saturday, April 18: Earth Day Fair & Rally

Earth Day demonstration and fair;
“Governments, grappling with trade wars exacerbated by an economy fueled by extraction and unlimited growth, are deciding to cut back on everything that protects us and contributes to the well-being of the population: forests, the social safety net, public transit, environmental regulations, and democracy.”
WE REFUSE! On Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m., we invite you to a festive and unifying demonstration, as well as a fair. It’s time to unite our voices to make it clear:
NOT ONE MORE CUT!”
