It was raining last night in Montreal’s Old Port, but given that it’s Fashion Week and (finally?) autumn, the rain lent the neighborhood a sort of fairytale aura.
It was dusk when we arrived at Le Benedetta, where the old stone restaurant space had been reworked to host the Créations GAMA show. Pink flowers decorated the entrance, with pink champagne and magenta carpet in the center of the room.
At the end of a goth girl summer all devoured lace and tone-on-tone black – with the violent coolness to match – Créations GAMA paraded “misses”.
Models walked softly to an ultra-romantic playlist in pink fur boleros and caramel leather, with tiaras delicately placed on their heads and the powdery beauty of a throwback to the 2010s.
Créations GAMA
Créations GAMA founder, entrepreneur and designer Gabrielle Mailhot-Côté has the blond beach waves of a “miss”, and surrounded by her all-female team (which includes her mom) she presents the collection as a project driven by a healthy dose of passion.
She has been using fur and leather to preserve craftsmanship, recycling and respect for the environment since 2021.
It’s rare enough to talk about entrepreneurship during a fashion show, but celebrating the years of work of this group of women – craftswomen, artists, designers, strategists – is as gratifying as it is inspiring. Everyone raises a flute of rosé champagne.
“Miss GAMA”
After ultra-romantic performances by violinist Marianne Paquin and a duo of dancers in long fuschia-pink gloves, GAMA’s “misses” parade to a playlist that reminds us a little of a prom in the movies or the music we used to put on at our sleepovers as teenagers.
The collection is ultra-girly, with boleros and crop jackets in pale fur, skater skirts and caramel-fur evening clutches reminiscent of the muffs worn by German museum princesses.

Shapes and tiaras are also reminiscent of the 2010s. We think of the sorority sisters from Scream Queens and the most popular girls in high school – and it’s a nostalgia we love to immerse ourselves in. Suddenly, we’re itching to spend an hour curling our hair in front of a heart-shaped mirror…
The theme of the collection is not insignificant, because in the speakeasy of the Benedetta, we were able to preview (without photo, sorry) a dress by Créations GAMA dedicated to the Miss Europe Continental competition to be held in Milan in November 2025…
Congratulations to the Créations GAMA team!
