Montreal is known for its bagels, its summer festivals, its cafés with foam on them and its people-some of the best-dressed in the world, between minimalist chic and post-punk, athleisure and alternative eco. Some of today’s hottest new designers work and create in Montreal.
On the island, for the past 5 years, the Grappe métropolitaine de mode (mmode) has reinstated Fashion Week in Montreal, and this edition will be presented by La Vie en Rose and 1664 (Carlsberg beer). The official spokesperson for Fashion Week will be Laurence Fortin-Côté, co-founder and creative director of Rholend.
At the end of summer, from September 23 to 30, 2025, Fashion Week will give Montreal its rightful place on the international fashion scene. A week of workshops, fashion shows, launches and exhibition openings dedicated to Montreal designers and fashion.
Fashion in Montreal is also a reflection of the city, its diverse cultures and its designers, and during Fashion Week there will be an influential campaign spearheaded by Catherine St-Laurent, Emilie Lacas, Emy Lalune, Genevièce Borne and Tranna Wintour. The campaign will aim to “tell the human stories behind the brands, highlight the talent, and amplify the discoverability of Quebec fashion in a spirit of authenticity and creativity.”
