Last April,Montreal chefs Mirko D’Agata and Fiodar Huminski took part in a pizza-making competition in Italy, and shone with their culinary excellence and creativity. Their performance in the duo event, combining technique and inventiveness, earned them accolades from judges and chefs from all over the world.
Their bronze-winning pizza featured twice-baked dough and three types of artichoke – fried, grilled and mashed – as well as speck.
In Montreal, Mirko and Fiodar run the No.900 and Morso restaurants, and while the winning pizza is no longer available on their menu, many others – such as the Cappricciosa of the moment – can be enjoyed at No.900. National Pizza Day, after all, is the perfect excuse to go!
And if you’re a real pizza enthusiast…
No.900 is offering a cooking class on Neapolitan pizza – the crust, the cooking, the tasting (of course!) – which you can sign up for! This Montreal institution has everything it takes to turn you into a pizza chef, from the pizza oven to the baking secrets…
