Spring is cool and rainy, alas, and we’ve already caught a mild cold from staying out too long in the evening with wet feet. But these past few days, the weather has been a bit heavier. Our hair is a mess, and it’s half-cold, half-warm. It’s almost summer already, isn’t it?
The peak of that muggy heat that pops up every now and then during a cool Montreal spring will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The heat index will hover around 35 degrees Celsius, and thunderstorms and a night of showers are expected afterward.
Bikini Weather – May 19, 2026
Unfortunately, it won’t really be a day to spend in a bikini because the weather will be overcast and stormy, but we still recommend getting ready to head out for a coffee between the clouds.
In the morning, it will be 19 degrees—a pleasant temperature for a nice spring day—and the weather will be partly sunny and partly cloudy.
In the afternoon, it will be 27 degrees, but it will feel like 14 degrees. For those whose hair gets frizzy when it’s humid, now is the time to tie it back. Humidity will be 75%. We’ll still be at risk of thunderstorms.
In the evening, it will be 22 degrees with a heat index of 26 degrees—an almost summery evening, with very high humidity and heavy showers overnight.
Nice weather for a picnic—the end of May is going to be beautiful
The coming weeks will be mild, with half sun and half showers, and the flowers will be able to grow as tall as possible so that Montreal can once again become the green city we love in the summer.
Over the next few weeks, the weather will get nicer and warmer. Highs will range from 13 to 19 degrees, and there will be a few showers—fewer and fewer.
Hang in there! Summer is almost here!
