We love to eat out in Montreal. Elsewhere too, but here it’s an art. We line up for the opening of a new bistro, we eat gnocchi out of a little cardboard box while sitting outside in the blizzard at the risk of losing our fingers, we catalog our favourite restaurants in notes on our phones, in little leather notebooks, on cork boards in the kitchen…
And at the helm of some of Montreal’s finest restaurants are women we don’t talk about enough. So, this month – and all year long – we’ll be honoring (and devouring) the exceptional work of the city’s women chefs.
We’ve got a (non-exhaustive) list of our favorite female chefs here!
