The organizers of the region’s largest Asian cultural and culinary markets—ASIE ASIE—are partnering with the culinary magazine The Main to present RAMEN RAMEN, a 19-day festival dedicated to this iconic Japanese dish.
Nearly 20 Montreal restaurants are participating in this massive festival, and the public is invited to vote for the best bowl of ramen in Montreal. And since people in Montreal have strong opinions about this sort of thing, we recommend trying a few different ones during the 19 days of RAMEN RAMEN.

RAMEN RAMEN
Ramen, ラーメン in Japanese, is a Japanese dish inspired by Chinese cuisine but adapted to Japanese tastes. It’s a broth-based noodle soup topped with meat, eggs, fish, or tofu—and a variety of vegetables. The dish, imported from China in the 19th century, is incredibly versatile, and there’s a ramen to suit every taste.
There’s Tokyo Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Shio Ramen, Katsura Ramen…
It’s also a great opportunity to check out the city’s coolest Japanese restaurants. The list of participating restaurants is here;
