At Montreal’s Old Port, there’s going to be a huge, ultra-nostalgic carnival this fall. There’ll be booths where you can win a stuffed animal for your significant other, rides that are a little scary, hot dogs, and cotton candy.
It’s a bit like a Hallmark movie and a bit like the beginning of an ’80s horror film, and it’s absolutely delightful. The Montreal Old Port Fall Fair opens on Thursday, September 24, 2026.,

THE MONTREAL OLD PORT FALL FAIR
At the end of summer, a carnival is just the thing. It’s to combat the increasingly long nights with noise and lights; it’s to impress your crush by successfully fishing out a blue plastic duck; it’s to spin around in a teacup.

At the Montreal Old Port Fall Fair, you’ll find all the classics: rides, bumper cars, cotton candy, and plenty of chances to win a stuffed animal for your crush.
There will be plenty of games of skill and chance, rides for kids and adults alike, and classic carnival snacks.
It’s the perfect spot for a cinematic evening, a date, a trip down memory lane, and a celebration of fall.
