Montreal is a city teeming with art students, artists, and gallery owners who scout and sign art students, emerging artists, and independent artists who manage their own careers through Instagram DMs.
Of course, all this art can sometimes create a sense of cognitive overload—an overload for Montrealers and artists alike. For the past five years, a nonprofit organization has been helping young artists integrate into the professional visual arts community. Fais-Moi L’Art is a space for exhibition, support, and sharing.
Since 2021, Fais-Moi L’Art has joined the RCAAQ (Réseau des Centres d’Artistes Autogérés de Québec) and has organized more than 50 exhibitions and projects, including some thirty solo and master’s thesis exhibitions.
This Saturday, the organization is celebrating its anniversary in partnership with the tattoo studio Studio Citron Rose with a 12-hour event.
HIGH FIVE – a birthday party celebrating the 5th anniversary of Fais-Moi L’Art and Studio Citron Rose
To celebrate its 5th anniversary, Fais-Moi L’Art is hosting a party from noon to midnight—featuring an art auction, performances, tattoos, drinks at the bar, and DJ sets.
The event is taking place at the Studio Citron Rose tattoo studio, where the work of 36 young Montreal artists will be on display and included in an art auction. For the tattoo artists at Studio Citron Rose, it will be a “flash day.” There will be tattoos of all styles and, of course, a “flash” of the Montreal Canadiens logo.

This is an opportunity, following the Art Plural Fair of Montreal’s contemporary art galleries and the Foire Parallèle of independent Montreal artists, to discover the young artists who live and work in the city. And to party from noon to midnight, just like an artist.
