In April, we’re going to put on our best waterproof sneakers and hop, hop, hop like little bunnies all over Montreal, because the city is waking up and it’s the start of the season when we’ll absolutely be living outdoors.
There will be days off for Easter Monday, the first flowers, april showers . .. and as usual, our calendar is full to bursting.
Refreshment evening at the MBAM

Clean-up in Hochelaga
April 26th
We’re taking part in the Montreal clean-up because we love our city, even if in spring, when the snow melts, chip wrappers, broken vapes, syringes, cardboard boxes of Oreos and everything else that fell out of our pockets during the winter appear. It’s good for morale, good for the city, and a good start to our spring tan…
Where? Hochelaga’s Chalet du Parc Morgan
Free cone day at Ben & Jerry’s
April 8th
Photowalk

TUTU at Théâtre Outremont
April 17th

There’s nothing more spring-like than a dancer in a giant tutu… Les Chicos Mambo hijack the codes of the classic: it’s camp, it’s voluminous, it’s pastel and it reminds us of the Easter bunnies we saw out of the corner of our eyes when we were kids and wished we’d followed them back to their burrow…
Where? Théâtre Outremont, 1248 Bernard Street West
How much? regular price $54 / under 30 $45

Earth Day
April 22nd
It’s Earth Day and we’ll have our hands in the grass, our hair in the wind and our eyes wide open to the sun (or the rain, we’re not asking).
We’ll be hanging out (barefoot?) in Montreal’s parks, possibly taking photos of the first spring flowers? Our guide here!
We can also take a stroll around Montreal (carpool, please!) in the forest, and maybe even take a dip in the lake? We’ve got some great walks here!
Otherwise, we take part in events around town that honor the Earth and nature;
- Le grand échange de semences, plantes et boutures, April 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bibliothèque Benny (6400 Avenue de Monkland)
- Westmount Earth Day clothing swap, April 22 at 1pm at Victoria Hall (4626 Sherbrooke St. W.)

Roller Dance at SAT
April 27, 2 to 4 pm or 5 to 7 pm
The weather’s fine, so we imagine ourselves roller-skating along the banks of the Lachine Canal this summer, with grace…
But unfortunately, we’ve never learned, and we’re already feeling the skinned knee and red cheeks of embarrassment.
So we’re off to learn SAT, with music and bar service as a reward (phew!). This is an 18+ event, but we encourage you to learn and then teach yourkids the art of roller-skating.
