Look out! It’s tulip season! Get out your gardening gloves and wide-brimmed hats!
It’s less than a 7-hour drive from Montreal: the tulip festival at TASC Tulip Pick Farm in Ontario is a change of scenery, but not too much. You can leave during the day, stop to sleep in the countryside, open the car windows to smell the first green fields of the region, stop on the way to eat fries on a terrace… the dream!
Tulips galore
It’s Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario. Covering 55 acres, TASC offers over two million tulips in 175 varieties.
There’s a tulip for every taste and every color, whether you want a color-block table or a bouquet of yellow, pink and purple…
U-pick!
One of the festival’s most iconic experiences is the chance to pick your own tulips.
Each adult ticket entitles the holder to choose ten tulips, with each additional flower priced at one dollar each.
A snack bar for budding pickers
You can bring your own sandwich and set up at one of the farm’s 50 picnic tables, or choose something hot, easy and a little gastro from one of the festival’s food-trucks.
It’s a must, after the hard work of picking tulips – well, mostly choosing and matching colors…
