But, and it seems obvious when you think about it,Quebec is also a region of farmers and cowboys, andWestern andcountryculture plays a huge role in theQuebec zeitgeist.
And the best time of year for everyone involved and for all country music lovers is summer—the season of Quebec rodeos…
We’ve put togethera calendar of rodeo festivals and major events for the summer of 2026—we’ll be there, in our Daisy Dukes, our freshly resoled cowboy boots, and with a supernatural ability to remember line dances.
June 11–14, 2026: Ayer’s Cliff Rodeo

Adult weekend pass: $122.50 / Kids’ weekend pass: $58.50 / Day pass for the rodeo: between $40 and $50 per person, between $20 and $23 for kids
In addition to the rodeo events, which draw huge crowds, it’sa hugeparty forall the cowboys(and cowboy lovers) in the region.Line dancing, live music, and a local craft fair are all on the program. There’s also a strongman demonstration, and if youreally enjoyed it, a photo op with them afterward…Yee-haw!

June 17–21, 2026: La Sarre Rodeo

“At full gallop, let’s storm La Sarre for the rodeo!” isthe motto of this festival of professional rodeos and country vibes, featuring rock ’n’ roll performances,fireworks, rescue races, wild bull riding, and every shade of Stetson imaginable.

June 18–21, 2026: Charlevoix Rodeo

June 25–28, 2026: Saint-Antonin Country Festival

$41 for one night, $82 for both nights (with a $10 discount right now—so $72 for both nights)
Every year, the Saint-Antonin Country Festival hosts the first rodeo of the Canada Cup Circuit (IPRA circuit), which concludes in September at the St-Tite Western Festival.
There will be over 250 cowboys,dance classes, country music, rodeos with fireworks, anda country masson Sunday morning—because country culture issacred!

June 25–28, 2026: Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier Rodeo

Day pass: $45 for adults, $12 for children (tickets are available online only)
It’s the Quebec rodeo withthe most free activities(music shows, country dancing, access to food vendors and exhibitors), andtickets grant access to the bleachers, where you can watch the rodeo events—including amini-rodeo(super cute), horse pulling, and the classic rodeo.

August 15–16, 2026: Lasso Festival

The Lasso Festival is a country music festival (not a rodeo, then, but it has a Western vibe) with Thomas Rhett and Mumford & Sons headlining this year.

August 20–23, 2026: Mont Saint-Anne Western Festival

4-day package starting at $127.92 for adults and $51.97 for children / 1-day package starting at $21.11 for adults and $13.99 for children
This year, the festival is expecting 700 cowboys and cowgirls (and us, wearing Grandma’s old cowboy boots and a Stetson we’ve been scrunching in our hands during the three-hour drive to make it look worn).
We’re waiting for the full 2026 lineup, but we know there will berodeo events (of course), musical performances with country dancing,a kids’ area on the weekend, andsurprise tribute nights.

September 10–19, 2026: St-Tite Western Festival Summer Rodeo

For “Le Champ”—5-night package at $288, first weekend package at $119, second weekend package at $169
It’s the last rodeo of the season, and it’s also one of the most beloved in Quebec —it’s right between Montreal and Quebec City, smack in the middle of the Mauricie region. It’s a stronghold of lumberjacks and cowboys, a blend of wood and leather…
It’s also one of the oldest, and the festival’s first edition was held in 1967.
Today,the festival’s ten days area smorgasbordof professional rodeo eventsand musical performances on their stage, “Le Champ.”
