There’s a low point in the holiday season. The week between Christmas and New Year’s is always a bit hazy. You digest, you rest, you read a book perhaps, you play outside with the kids, you watch TV aimlessly.
At the end, we don’t really remember what we did, but we’re satisfied with the time spent in this liminal space.
It’s a moment of rest and reflection, but also one of intense nostalgia. Pyjamas and warm socks will have been offered (and perhaps received), and we won’t be taking them off for the rest of the week.
In short, it ‘s the perfect time to revisit the Star Wars saga in its entirety – and not just for nerds.

Star Wars, the holiday season and nostalgia for a black-and-white world
This holiday season, the Cinéma du Musée and the Comiccon de Montréal are organizing screenings of the first 6 Star Wars episodes (in order);
- Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), George Lucas
- Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), George Lucas
- Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005), George Lucas
- Episode IV: A New Hope (1977), George Lucas
- Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), George Lucas
- Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), George Lucas

It’s a chance to go back to childhood, to a simpler time in our lives when the good guys were good, the bad guys were bad and Han Solo was the coolest role model of the coolest people we know.
It’s also an opportunity to share your love of Star Wars, with your nieces and nephews or with your children.
Screenings of the saga will take place over two weekends: December 27 and 28, 2025, and January 3 and 4, 2026.
Three films will be screened each day (the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, which was filmed afterwards and which some fans completely reject). That way, everyone can do what they want and see the saga in the order they like…
There will also be Star Wars-themed surprises and entertainment every day, for maximum nostalgia and community.
