This is the 4th edition of the neighborhood festival in our favorite neighborhood—Mile End. It’s the first major spring neighborhood festival in Montreal, and it runs from May 22 to 24, 2026.
Because Mile End is a neighborhood where both English and French are spoken, we feel perfectly comfortable referring to Mile End en Fête as a “block party.” It’s like a neighborhood party, but the American way. And since it’s a mostly English-speaking concept (in France, they’re village festivals), we have no problem adopting the Anglicism and all the imagery that goes with it.
During the three days of Mile End en Fête, we’ll be treated to live music, plenty of culture, and drinks on the terraces of Montreal’s coolest neighborhood.
Program
This year, Mile End en Fête runs from Friday, May 22, to Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Several musical artists will perform more or less continuously throughout the three days of the “block party” on Laurier West and Saint-Viateur streets.

On Friday, May 22, there will be a dance-filled opening night.
- Opening Night and Traditional Dances / 6:30 p.m., at the Beer Garden
- Opening DJ set / at 8:30 p.m., at the Beer Garden
The nerve centre of the “block party” will be, as it is every year, at the Lave-Auto on Laurier Avenue—and there will be musical performances and a bar from Brasserie Dieu du Ciel! on site.
What’s new this year is that Laurier Avenue will be closed, and the firefighters—whose station is right next to the car wash—will also be celebrating with a big BBQ and vintage fire trucks. For firefighter enthusiasts, this is the perfect opportunity.
