Just for Laughs, the world’s largest comedy festival, is synonymous with one of the best times of the summer in Montreal. We love to laugh around here, and for over 40 years, we’ve known exactly where to go to do it… It runs from Wednesday, July 15, to Sunday, July 26, 2026, and there are plenty of free shows in addition to paid shows this year.
This year, in addition to our (great) local talent for jokes and self-deprecating humor, French comedians Danny Boon, Tom Baldetti, Camille Lellouche, and Alex Vizorek (to name just a few) will be performing in Montreal.
David Letterman and Will Artnett will also be there for a special evening— featuring a cameo by Paul Shaffer—on July 21, 2026 , at Place des Arts.
Just for Laughs – Lineup
Whether in English or French, Montreal will welcome several big names in comedy—and there are still tickets available for almost all of the festival’s shows.
Among others, we can’t wait to see (in nice, air-conditioned venues): Atsuko Okatsuka Gala, Weird Al Yankovic, Tranna Wintour, Chris Fleming… And also a musical parody of *Heated Rivalry* and the special evening with David Letterman and Will Artnett.
We can’t wait to check out these free shows (in air-conditioned venues or outdoors with a light breeze): stand-up comedy at the Scène Loto-Québec at Place des Arts (July 16, 17, 18, and 19), a special “French comedy” night, and the festival’s festive “7 à 8” events almost every evening.
In addition to the main lineup, a large (and free) comedy cabaret under the stars will take place at Place des Arts. Every evening, the festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with music, followed by stand-up comedy (in French every night, and in English on July 24 and 25) at 8 p.m., with comedy acts continuing afterward.
It’s first come, first served, so we’ll arrive early to get a good spot up front.
