On November 21 and 22, 2025, the Atwater Market will be opening its Christmas market with a party reminiscent of the mountain chalets of the Alps – a Raclette Party.
We’ll already have seen the first snow fall on the city, and before you know it, we’ll be digging out our coats, lined boots and (knitted) mittens.
To get us in the mood for the holidays and the season, and in the mood for a winter we’ll soon be romanticizing so as not to get depressed, we’re taking part in a 100% melted cheese party around a braséro – just like in the mountains…
Raclette Party
Atwater Market’s Raclette Party launches one of Montreal’s biggest holiday markets, the Christmas Village. This year, the Christmas market celebrates its 10th anniversary with a supersized version of its annual Raclette Party.
On the program for the evening:
- wood-fired raclette fondue from Fromagerie Fritz
- charcuterie and vegetarian options – bread, potatoes, pickles
- demonstration and tasting with guest chef Yoann Van Den Verg(Les Mômes, recognized by the Michelin Guide and Les Chefs 2025)
- entertainment by the Kumpa’nia brass band, PÔH Harmonica and DJ Daven Ray (with a special Christmas set )
- photobooth
- on-site competitions
- cheese fair, to shop for the holiday dinners we’ll be hosting all month long
- access to the Christmas Village – with braziers, refreshment stands, local artisans, mulled wine and more.
At the Village de Noël, there will be some sixty local artisans (to make our holiday gifts), and entertainment for children – and older ones – including Santa’s office and his elves.
