The festive season is almost upon us, but in the skyscraper towers of downtown Montreal, people are hard at work, and without the trademark Christmas carols of 90s movies about Christmas in the city…
Unfortunately, some of us won’t have time to wander around Quebec’s Christmas markets drinking mulled wine in a big, soft woolly sweater. Some will have to work like elves, non-stop, until Christmas Eve night…
Luckily for them (and for all Montrealers), the Christmas in the Park festival returns to downtown this year, creating a sort of super-festive Christmas village with some 30 free shows, mulled wine and entertainment to lift the spirits of our favorite finance bros and the rest of Montreal.
A charming holiday village between Montreal’s skyscrapers
From December 5 to 24, 2025, the Christmas in the Park Festival transforms the city into a living tableau of animation, lights and music.
Iconic sites such as Place Émilie-Gamelin in Ville-Marie, Parc des Compagnons in the Plateau, and Parc Lahaie in Mile End are transformed into a veritable fairytale village. Imagine strolling through alpine-style wooden chalets, glittering with garlands of lights, while choosing your Christmas tree from a local selection.

This year’s Noël dans le Parc festival features free concerts by France d’Amour, Justin Boulet, Oli Féra, Hochelaga Hotshopts, Betty Bonifassi, Vanille and more. For the full festival program, visit the festival website here!
You’ll also be able to drink beer from the Dieu Du Ciel brewery and buy a Christmas tree – all those big, cold offices deserve one, don’t they?

With the scent of cold fir in the air and festive decorations all around, the Festival Noël dans le Parc reveals that, sometimes, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to turn up the music and let the city dance…
