Montreal is a charming little city known for its bagels, summer festivals, lattes with foam on top, and its residents—some of the best-dressed in the world, ranging from minimalist chic to post-punk, athleisure to alternative eco-style.Some oftoday’s hottestnew designers are working and creating in Montreal.
Every year, the M.A.D. Festival (Fashion, Arts, and Entertainment) showcases Montreal’s coolest and most creative people with fashion shows, parties, pop-ups, and plenty of style.
This summer, it runs from August 20 to 23, 2026, and takes place largely in downtown Montreal—at the Quartier des Spectacles.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20
5:30 p.m. CAPSULE FASHION SHOW NO. 1 / young Montreal brands (and, for the most part, made-in-Montreal) Chronos, Delcyna, Faith & Love, and Lise René de Cottret take the runway for this first capsule show
8:00 PM MAS FASHION SHOW / one of the coolest (and most minimalist) brands on the Montreal fashion scene—a must-see
FRIDAY, AUGUST 21
POP-UP MARKET / Throughout the festival, the M.A.D. pop-up market offers an exclusive look at the latest collections and fresh creations from Montreal designers. With over 70 pop-ups, we’re going to spend a few hours there on Friday.
This year, we’re really looking forward to the new collection from the super-cool Montreal brand Lucky Girl.
6:15 PM FASHION PREVIEW SHOW / Montreal’s chicest PR agency showcases its brands, featuring a mix of new and established names—a great way to get a sneak peek at the trends in the 2027 collections
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22
7:30 PM FASHION SHOW BY THE CÉGEP MARIE-VICTORIN FASHION SCHOOL / School fashion shows are always the most fun to attend because fashion students aren’t afraid of anything… we can’t wait!
10 PM GUILLAUM CHAIGNE FASHION SHOW / black lines that blur the edges, pieces to wear every day of the year as signature items, and a Montreal-style Demna vibe that we’re watching very, very closely
SUNDAY, AUGUST 23
6:00 PM LA CORNEILLE FASHION SHOW BY SCARLETT JAMES / feathers, metal—it’s almost like a costume or a fairy tale—or burlesque, but in any case, it promises to be an exceptional fashion show
8:30 PM SURPRISE SHOW / We’ll wrap up the festival weekend, in true M.A.D. style, with a surprise show
