Amid the sharp angles of the tall stone, metal, and glass buildings in downtown Montreal, the COZEY store almost stands out like a sore thumb. On Sainte-Catherine Street, we’re not used to seeing rounded corners. Downtown, everything is always a little too noisy, a little too sharp, and a little too overstimulating.
The COZEY store—the first in Montreal for these ultra-soft, locally designed pieces—is all rounded corners, and every surface, even the ceiling, is painted in soothing earth tones. At the back of the store, a little cloud—the brand’s logo—glows in neon.
COZEY’s sofas are modular and designed to fit any space, big or small—like my tiny apartment. It’s the brand that was the first to package its sofas in boxes that are super easy to transport and deliver.
In addition to arriving in separate parts, there’s a customization element that’s truly delightful and lets you tailor your furniture. Our favorite thing about COZEY might just be its chenille fabric covers, in super-rich, jewel-toned colors.
COZEY also makes beds, sleeper sofas (some with storage in the cushions), small wooden accent pieces, chairs, and—to go with your sofa—very pretty machine-washable rugs.
It’s perfect for “cozy season” and all year round, and we highly recommend heading over to try out the sofas at the beautiful COZEY store downtown as soon as possible.
