
Can you feel that soft spring breeze? We are too, and we’re already getting ready for our favorite bloom in Montreal: the cherry blossoms.
We know that there are a few stages before the cherry trees – the melting of the snow, the appearance of crocuses, tulips, then lily of the valley and forget-me-nots, and finally, in May, the trees will be in bloom.
As you can see, we’re eagerly awaiting the cherry blossoms, and already have a list of the best places to see them…
1.the Cherry Blossom Promenade in Westmount Park
In this green gem, cherry blossoms stand out proudly against the carpet of lush green grass. A bike ride or a leisurely stroll is just what you need to take in the sights!
How do I get there? By bus, on the 24, 103 or 138, or by metro, on the green line, to the Atwater stop.
2 The Montreal Botanical Garden
Prepare to be amazed in this haven of peace, where cherry trees stand side by side with a multitude of exotic plants.
How do I get there? Take the green line of the metro to the Pie-IX stop.
3 Parc Jean Drapeau
Between hiking trails and picnic areas, let yourself be seduced by the enchanting vision of cherry blossoms, with a breathtaking view of the majestic St. Lawrence River.
How do we get there? By bus (777), or by metro (yellow line) to the Jean Drapeau stop.
4.parc Ahuntsic
In Ahuntsic, cherry blossoms are the stars of the show, surrounded by lakes, lush greenery and welcoming hills. A true corner of paradise in the heart of the city!
How do you get there? By metro, orange line, Henri-Bourrassa stop
5 Le Plateau
In the picturesque streets of the Plateau, cherry blossoms add a touch of poetry to the district’s bohemian ambience. Head to Place Saint-Louis for an explosion of color and the charm of typical Montreal duplexes.
How do you get there? By metro on the orange line, at the Sherbrooke, Mont-Royal and Laurier stops.
