What can you expect from the experience?
Travel beyond Earth and explore the universe alongside the most renowned observatories: the Hubble Space Telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. During your experience, they’ll reveal the birth of stars and bring you face-to-face with exoplanets covered in lava flows and the outer reaches of a black hole—all through images based on cutting-edge scientific data.
Designed for curious minds and space enthusiasts, “The Mysteries of the Cosmos” offers a unique way to connect with the incredible grandeur, mystery, and beauty of our universe. The experience has also been selected for the “Venice Immersive” competition at the 2026 Venice International Film Festival, so it’s definitely worth checking out!

“The Mysteries of the Cosmos” combines science, captivating storytelling, and cutting-edge immersive technology. The experience transforms the mysteries of deep space into an experience you can see, hear, and live without leaving Montreal.
A sneak peek at what’s in store:
- Embark on this cosmic journey: meet your guide, Astro, at the summit of Mount Hopkins in Arizona, home to the Whipple Observatory, operated by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. From there, your journey will take a celestial turn as you board the most powerful telescopes ever built to explore the far reaches of our galaxy.
- Enjoy the Sun: take a quick detour to the Sun to observe solar flares 30 times larger than Earth. Listen to the Sun’s vibrations. Feel the energy that powers all life on our planet, captured directly by NASA’s Parker Solar Probe—the spacecraft that made the closest flyby of the Sun ever recorded and is still in operation today.
- Set out to explore Janssen, the diamond planet: immerse yourself in an alien landscape covered in molten lava. Watch volcanoes erupt in the distance and fissures tear through the ground, revealing immense, sparkling diamond structures. Discover why Earth offers the ideal conditions for life: a rare balance known as the “Goldilocks zone.”
- Witness the death of Betelgeuse: observe the spectacular explosion of this supergiant star, whose final blast transforms stellar matter into the building blocks of the universe—the raw material for stars, planets, and perhaps even life as we know it.
- Marvel at black holes: stand on the edge of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the heart of the Milky Way, and watch a star plunge into its depths, sending a deafening torrent of debris scattering throughout the galaxy.

Using astronomical data and images, “The Mysteries of the Cosmos” reimagines iconic 2D space images—including the famous “Pillars of Creation”—to create fully immersive 3D universes.
Visitors don’t just observe the cosmos—they travel through it.
