A selfie studio that lets you step into your biggest Instagramfever dreams, the Saint Motel invites you to dive into a one-of-a-kind universe.
Le Saint Motel is hidden at the end of a sober corridor behind a modest black sliding door, inside a jewelry store. Indeed, if you didn’t see the neon sign that says “SAINT MOTEL” you might think you’re in the wrong place. It’s a good thing the owner of Inchoo Bijoux also co-owns the motel.
When you enter, the colors explode. First, there are the pink ’90s phones on the wall. Next, we arrive at the reception area, where the rooms can be seen from the entrance. Theme of the roadside motel we’re given a key to our room that controls the lighting, and the adventure begins.
Le Saint Motel
The Saint Motel offers several worlds for your best photos. The Expo 67 room launches you straight into your parents’ basement or an episode of Stranger Things (depending on your age), Lite Brite and vintage Montreal map included. Everything is authentic, and it shows.
Everyone’s favorite, Five Roses Flour, offers a pink ball whirlpool in front of the iconic “Five Roses Flour”, under the Village’s original pink balls. The indoor garden is perfect for a more minimalist, fairy-tale photo-op. Then there’s a host of other worlds, including the plush wall, poetry corner, hanging bird chairs, tropical toilet, and many more.
A unique project launched by Marisa Parisella, Olivier Dufort and Astrid Apissoghomian last May, it has quickly become a favorite spot for lovers of photography and fantasy. Parisella, a photographer by trade, and Apissoghomian, a neighboring jeweler, work together to choose the worlds they will create. Dufort then goes on to build the sets. A great team effort, with everyone pulling their weight to update the most beautiful rooms.
