After a hot, hot, hot summer and a mild, studious autumn (hello, we even learned to knit), and after Halloween, we’re about to enter one of the most chaotic seasons of the year – the holiday season.
Have we been good? Yes, don’t panic. We’ve been good enough, and anyway, we’ve still got two months to show up and prove to Santa that we deserve his largesse.
On November 22, 2025, one month before Christmas, Santa Claus will visit children (and adults) in Montreal with a parade through the downtown core – and now’s the time to say hello in case he’s forgotten us while making his list…
Santa Claus parade – the program
Starting at 11 a.m. on November 22, the parade will take place on boulevard René-Levesque. You can watch the parade from the side of the boulevard (with hot chocolate, a toque and a big scarf).
There will be elves, the star fairy, the Grinch who tries to steal Christmas every year, dancing and music. It’s a Montreal classic, a holiday classic and a classic from our Quebec childhood.
For the lucky ones, there are bleachers where VIPs will be seated to watch the parade (Nutcracker? At least, they’re not open to the public) and you can win tickets by entering the contest in the instagram post above.
For the rest of us, we’re thinking of staying warm with the biggest pair of holiday mittens…
And for the wise…
For children who have been good all year, this is the perfect opportunity to send their letter to Santa Claus, entrusting it to the postal elves who will be present at the parade…
