Candlelight Jazz: MF DOOM & Hip-Hop ft. Lavender Town
Saying MF DOOM and Hip-Hop is like saying candles and Candlelight: you can’t have one without the other. If you don’t know MF DOOM and you like rap and hip-hop in general, you owe him a lot. With his mask over his face, this musical super-villain has more alter egos than there are superheroes.
His name is directly inspired by a comic book, more specifically the famous villain Doctor Doom, and it’s no surprise that he’s a major source of inspiration for Lavender Town. In this candlelit tribute, his famous “Doomsday” will resound alongside Kendrick Lamar ‘s “Untitled 05” andAnderson Paak’s “Come Down”, among many others.
Le Bain Mathieu, Montreal’s former industrial bathhouse, is the perfect setting for this unique Candlelight Jazz concert. With its surprising candlelit decor, it welcomes you for a moment where music takes center stage.
